Thank you for your patience and understanding during the outage. We appreciate your flexibility while our service provider worked to resolve the issue.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would like to provide an update regarding the ongoing phone outage affecting our school buildings.
Our phone service provider has informed us that they are currently experiencing service issues that are impacting phone systems throughout our area. Their technical teams are actively working to identify and resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
The provider has advised us that they will notify the District as soon as service has been restored. Until that time, our schools will continue to experience phone service disruptions.
If you need to contact a school, please continue to call the Central Office at 307-358-2942, and our staff will relay your message to the appropriate school or department.
We understand the inconvenience this situation may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding while our provider works to restore service.
Thank you,
Converse1Schools

On Friday, students are released 2 hours early. Enjoy your weekend!

Thank you to our families for their patience and understanding this morning in the new DIS/DUES parent drop-off loop. This new routine was implemented to increase the safety and supervision of students who are dropped off/picked up, or who ride a bus. Due to the closure of the Richards Street Bridge, all traffic is funneled by DIS/DUES and the middle school campuses. This closure has greatly increased the number of vehicles moving between campuses and also serves as the only route to access the Yellowstone Highway Bridge. Basically, this closure has caused a tremendous increase in both Pearson Road and Windriver Drive.
Please continue to be patient as we improve the new routine. We are working with the city and the local police department to further improve the efficiency. Another option is to utilize the CCSD #1 Transportation services. If you are interested in utilizing these services, please call the Transportation Office at 358-4543. Again, thank you for partnering with us to keep all students safe and for your patience as we continue to work through this new process. Have a great day and go Bearcats!

Stay Connected and Download Our CCSD1 App!

We are excited to welcome our students, staff, and families back for the 2026-2027 school year.
Before heading to school, please review the attached City of Douglas construction update. The Richards Street Bridge near Douglas Middle School remains closed to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic due to ongoing construction. For everyone's safety, please follow the posted detour routes and stay out of the work zone.
Here's to a fantastic year filled with learning, growth, and success. Have an awesome year, Bearcats! 🐾

Hello DIS/DUES Families!
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
We have a new Parent & Bus Loop this year. The loops have been flipped so the parent loop is now located on the west side of the building or back of DIS/DUES and the bus loop is on the east side or front of DIS/DUES. This change was made to increase the efficiency of the loop, improve the safety for students, and to provide better parent parking during the school day. Please click on the link below to watch the video on how to best use this space once school starts.
